blu
Roselle assistant sound designed Virginia Grise’s blu at UC San Diego in the Mandell Weiss Forum, directed by Cambria Herrera. Roselle assisted Padra Crisafulli, the sound designer, in sourcing environmental sounds, some of which were recorded by Roselle herself using a Zoom H6 recorder. Additionally, she helped with levels during technical rehearsals, understudied the role of The DJ, and learned a great deal from Crisafulli’s mastery with painting the sonic world of blu through soundscape building and storytelling.
